Patty Ann Crabtree (Riddle)

Patty Ann Crabtree, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 1-2pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington, Independence, MO 64052. Service will follow at 2pm, also at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be private at Mound Grove Cemetery. Patty was the second child born to Evelyn Riddle on October 29, 1936 in Clinton, MO. After graduating from Clinton High School, she met and married Darrell Crabtree and the two had a pair of sons, Darren and Greg. Patty was a bank teller at North American Savings Bank and American Bank before retiring after 20+ years of loyalty. Patty enjoyed taking care of her brother, “Junior”, working in the yard and garden, being involved in the PTA and other school activities for her sons, going new places, eating Mexican food, spending time with family, and volunteering at a couple area hospitals. Patty is survived by her son, Greg (Celeste) Crabtree; daughter-in-law, Melissa Crabtree; granddaughters, Rachel (Blaise) Cannon, Robin Crabtree, Olivia Crabtree, and Elizabeth Crabtree; great granddaughter, Marie Crabtree; brother, Albert “Junior” Crabtree; brother-in-law, Don Browett; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; son, Darren; and sisters, Sudi Browett and Ivy Vansant.
