Connie Mae (Howell) Crane
Connie Mae Crane, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, she was 74 years of age.
Connie was born on March 5, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Alvin J. and Chloy V. (Dorrance) Howell. She was one of 4 children. Connie graduated from Van Horn High School and work many years as a Chef. Being in the food industries, Connie was an amazing cook, some of her famous dishes were her pork cutlets, fried potatoes and onions, and a wonderful lemon cake that riveled her mothers. She loved the outdoors and the water, you could often find her spending time with her family hunting, fishing, camping and at the lake. Connie enjoyed having cook outs where family and friends could visit and eat while spending time in each other’s company. Later in her life Connie and her daughter Tammy would feed the horses at Season’s Care facility and Connie together with her grandchildren, Pam and Tammy would take trips to Lake Jacomo to feed the bison there. Connie was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be dearly missed.
Connie is survived by her daughter Tammy Crane; grandchildren, Alphonzo Crane and Benjamin Crane; sister, Carol Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Chloy Howell; siblings, Alvin Howell, Jr., Pamela Sarno; her former husband and father of her daughter, James Crane.
Cremation is planned with a private family celebration of life at a later date.
