Betty B. Crisp

Betty B. Crisp, 77, of Kansas City, MO, lost her courageous battle to cancer on January 18, 2006 at the St. Joseph Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, at the St. Matthew Apostle Church, Kansas City, MO, with a Rosary following at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the church, with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Betty was born on January 13, 1929 in Maryville, MO to Carl and Marguerite Boedeker. She was proud of her involvement with the Knights of Columbus, as well as with the Missouri Pilots Association. Betty was a very down to earth person with a great sense of humor, and her warmth was appreciated by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Crisp in 1994. Betty is survived by her three sons, John, Kevin and Steve Crisp; one daughter, Carla McGowen; five grandchildren, Jessica and Mallory McGowen and Veronica, Vannessa and Chase Crisp; three cousins; and many extended family members. The family would like to thank the following doctors who helped Betty during her strong fight; Donna Graessle, Cosmo Caruso, Tim Blackburn, Ron Wiess, Bradley Holaday, and the medical staff at St. Joseph Medical Center.
