Brett Wayne Crocker, 58 of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Research Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the chapel. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Brett was born February 21, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to William Roger and Doris Jean (Petty) Crocker and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1978. He had worked as a truck driver for Dynamic Transportation for the last 10 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, gardening and most of all spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Susquehanna Baptist Church, HOG and Rowdy Cowpokes Saloon. Survivors include; his loving wife, Debbie of the home; 4 children, Jennifer Ann Crocker and her fiancé Nathan Swindler of Plattsburg, MO, Samuel Wade Crocker of the home, Holly Nicole Moore and husband Tim of Lone Jack, MO, Lesley Ann Cutsforth of Independence, MO; his father, William R. Crocker of Raymondville, MO; a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Crocker of Wellington, MO, 2 sisters, Cindy Proell of Buckner, MO and Deanna L. Moon of Raymondville, MO and numerous other family and friends.
