Ruby Lee Cromwell, 77, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004. Services will be 2 pm Monday, October 25th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 pm until service time. Ruby was born November 21, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to Wallace and Naomi Richey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. For 25 years, she was an active and dedicated member of the PTA serving Fairmount, Nowlin, and Van Horn. Ruby loved to play bingo with her friends at the American Legion. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, arts and crafts. She was a fan of Royals and Chiefs, especially when they were winning. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harl Gene Cromwell; sisters, Mickey Richey, Carole Newman; a brother, Gene Richey. She is survived by her sons, Lee Cromwell and wife Theresa of Independence, MO, Steve Cromwell and wife Mary E. of Blue Springs, MO, Charles Cromwell and wife Mary L. of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Michael Cromwell, Jaron Cromwell, Tori Cromwell, Chad Williams, and Kari Cromwell; great grandson, Braydon Cromwell; her companion of the home, Ken Beck; sister, Fern Newman of Independence, MO; brother, Bob Richey of Riverside, CA; many nieces and nephews.
