Lillian B. “Tootie” Crugar, 94, of Independence, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Monday, October 8th with a service at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 9th, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery in Lee’s Summit. Lillian was born May 20, 1924, in Sedalia, MO. She spent her life as a homemaker, raising 6 children and as secretary for Crugar Sewer Service, a company she operated with her husband, Jack. Lillian is survived by her children, Robert Crugar (Terry) of Independence, David Crugar (Sherry) of Blue Springs, and Carol Robertson of Independence; her son-in-law, Bob Moore, and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Crugar; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her sons, Jess Crugar and Ralph “Jackie” Crugar and his wife, Lori; daughter, Jeannie Moore, as well as, 3 siblings. Contributions may be made in her honor to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
