Henry Lyle Culbertson

Henry L. Culbertson, 84, Blue Springs, MO passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 29, 2017. Services will be at 10 am, Friday, June 2 at the First Baptist Church of Buckner, 131 S. Hudson, Buckner, MO 64016; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the church. The family requests contributions to the church. Henry was born Oct. 11, 1932 in El Dorado Springs, MO and graduated from Walker High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Buckner. He worked at Butler Manufacturing for thirty-five years before his retirement then began a ten-year career at Aventis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and had traveled extensively with his wife, Lois. He was active in Buckner Little League Baseball for many years. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Hazel (Langley) Culbertson and siblings Doris Keithly, Dale Culbertson, Delmer Culbertson, Dean Culbertson and granddaughter Andrea Lane Culbertson. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Lois Culbertson, of the home; sons Jerry Culbertson and wife Becky; Phil Culbertson and wife Susan; grandchildren Ryan Culbertson and wife Emily; Brad Culbertson; Samantha Messer and husband Levi; Doug Culbertson and wife Kristi; Jacob Culbertson and wife Mara; Nathan Culbertson; Katy Owens and husband James; Bobbi Foudree and nine great-grandchildren.
