Beulah’s greatest joy was her husband, Jess, and her family. There were many celebrations at her house with her children and their families with food and activities, especially during the holidays. She was a homemaker raising five children, babysat for her grandchildren, then worked at the First Baptist Church of Independence Daycare until she retired. She was proud to be a Presbyterian and loved her church. She enjoyed many hours of arts, crafts and antiquing. She loved taking family vacations especially to Colorado to visit relatives. Boots and Jess belonged to the Pitch and Pull Camping Club and spent many weekends camping and wintering in Texas. Her later years were full of holding her poodle dog. Amber, sitting on her back porch swing and reading books.
She had been patiently waiting to be called home to her Lord and reunite with her husband of 64 years who passed away five months ago. She is survived by her children: Peggy Nix (Dan), Dennis Cunningham (Sara), Barbara Poole (Doug), Patti Cunningham and David Cunningham (Cindy). She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Heath Mustain (Karen), Chad Cunningham (Teri), Jestyn Cunningham, Errin Nix, Gideon Nix, Michael Whitworth (Sheila), Amy Whitworth and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephew, friends and wonderful caregivers from John Knox Village Care Center. Her memory will be cherished.
