Melvin A. Cunningham, 92, of Independence, MO passed away January 31, 2015 and will be laid to rest with his wife at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Melvin was born July 12, 1922 in Ionia, MO to T.A and Minnie (Miller) Cunningham. He proudly served in the United States Army as Medic during WWII. He was preceded in death by wife, Eula Mae (Batten) Cunningham; a daughter, a son, and a sister. He is survived by five children, Jesse Goff, Linda Howard (Jess), Edward Goff (Patsy), Ricky Goff, and Clarissa Goff, 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
