Debra Kay ""Debbie"" Cupp

Debra Kay “Debbie” Cupp, 65 of Greenwood, MO passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Oakwood Baptist Church, 7900 Lee’s Summit Rd., Kansas City, MO 64139. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Oakwood Baptist Church; all proceeds will be donated to local charities designated by the family. Debbie was born September 24, 1954 in Columbia, MO to James Taylor and Helen Nadine (Gruber) Schmidt. She grew up in Columbia and graduated from Hickman High School in 1973. She enjoyed serving at church, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church where she served many years in children’s ministry. Survivors include; Her husband, Jim Cupp of the home; 2 children, David Cupp and wife Lauren and daughter, Audrey Cupp all of Lee’s Summit, MO; a sister, Beverly Klipfel of St. Louis, MO and a brother, James Schmidt of Mesa, AZ and 2 grandchildren, Ezra and Aaron.
