Robert Lee Curry, 78, of Independence, MO, passed away, Friday, November 26, 2004 at St. Luke�s South Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday in the Tuscumbia Cemetery, Tuscumbia, MO. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the chapel. Robert was born September 8, 1926 in St. Joseph, MO to Frank and Ruth (Stapleton) Curry. He was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps having served during WWII. Mr. Curry worked as an auto parts salesman for NAPA and later Big A Auto Parts for 30 years in the Kansas City area before he retired in 1994. He enjoyed fishing and reading and was a member of the RLDS Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was married to Mary Kathleen Daugherty, she preceded him in death. Survivors include; 3 sons, Michael David Curry of Independence, MO, Dr. Mark Alan Curry of Leawood, KS and Marlan Daniel Curry of Houston, TX; 4 step children, Stephen Myers of Norfolk, VA, Debra Hergot of Overland Park, KS, David Myers of Blue Springs, MO and Michelle Bennes 0f Utah; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
