Phoebe A. Cutsforth

Phoebe A. Cutsforth 82 of Independence, MO passed away, Thursday January 18, 2007 at Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the chapel. Phoebe was born November 3, 1924 in Steelville, MO to Albert and Leana (Brown) Farar. She spent her early life in Steelville and graduated public schools there. She had worked as a waitress prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and gardening. She was a member of the Birchwood Baptist Church and the women�s group of the church. She was married to Calvin R. Cutsforth in 1953, he passed away in 1997. Survivors include; a son, Roy Cutsforth and his wife Judy of Independence, MO; 4 sisters, Myrtle Durand and Mary Weideman of Sullivan, MO, Thelma Vick of MI, Zelma Brimer of WA and Lucille Gorbison of MO; 2 grandchildren, Holly Wallman and her husband Brandon and Lesley Cutsforth.
