Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Zehr

Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Zehr, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023. She was 70 years of age.

Cindy was born on June 29, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Claudine (Bickford) Herbert. She was a graduate of Raytown High School and was one of two children.

Cindy dedicated her life to being a mother and worked primarily as a homemaker and she was a huge Chiefs fan. Beyond all else Cindy loved and adored her family, she was caring, loving, and will be dearly missed by all.

Cindy is survived by her children, David (Nicole) Zehr, Dana Shields; 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Morgan, Cameron, Emma, Madison; brother, David (Tracey) Herbert, and her beloved and faithful companion for over 13 years her Dachshund, Gretchen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert, and Claudine Herbert. Cremation is planned with no memorial services at this time. The family suggest contributions to be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care in Cindy’s honor.
