Vincent D'Angelo

Vincent F. D�Angelo, D.O., a physician, teacher, friend, and philanthropist to many, passed away July 18, 2005 at his home in Independence, MO. Following cremation, a memorial Mass will be held at St. Mark�s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee�s Summit Road, Independence, MO on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 10:00 am. Vincent was born October 15, 1931 in Ridgefield Park, NJ the son of Domenic and Frances Ligato D�Angelo. He was married to Cleo V. Green for 48 years before her death on November 20, 2002. Vincent received his B.A. degree from Temple University and his Doctor of Osteopathy from University Health Services. He was a member of the American College of Osteopathic Anesthesiologists, the American Medical Association , American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Association and the New Mexico Osteopathic Medical Association. He served as an anesthesiologist in hospitals in Independence, and Warrensburg, MO for many years until his retirement. Vincent was a faithful member of St. Mark�s Catholic Church and had been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warrensburg. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Vincent was a friend and neighbor to all who knew him and was known for his love of photography, golf, gardening, and dogs. He was a philanthropist to many persons and organizations who have benefited from his love and devotion. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Anthony D�Angelo and the love of his life, his beloved wife Cleo. Surviving are his many neighbors and friends, who were his family and his faithful and loving dog Sunshine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cleo V. D�Angelo Scholarship Fund, University of Health Services, Kansas City, MO or the Cleo V. D�Angelo Nature Trail, Sedalia, MO. Services under the direction of Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, MO.
