Charlotte B.  Davis (Jessip)

Charlotte B. Davis, 85, Raymore, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away March 27, 2014. Services will be 2 pm, Sunday, March 30 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. Graveside services will be at 10 am, Monday, March 31 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137. Charlotte was born April 8, 1928 in Atchison, KS and graduated from Atchison High School. She lived in Independence for over fifty years and was a member of Northern Blvd. United Methodist Church. She worked for Waddell & Reed for over twenty years and retired in 2000. She loved to read and enjoyed music but most of all she enjoyed her family. She particularly loved attending her grandkids’ sporting events. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Harold Davis in 1969 and brothers Lawrence and James Jessip. She is survived by sons Keith Davis and wife Elaine, Kalispell, MT; Ronnie Davis and Tammy, Independence, MO; Jeff Davis and wife Malinda, Belton, MO; brother Roger Jessip and wife Pat, Linn Valley, KS; grandchildren Brett Davis and wife Rochelle, San Diego, CA; Drew Davis, Nashville, TN; Kelly Sullivan and husband Tim, Independence, MO; Natalie Boston and husband Shawn, North Kansas City, MO; Phillip Davis and wife Leann, Independence, MO and seven great-grandchildren.
