Donald Robert Davis, 93, died October 20, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Community of Christ East 39th Street Church in Independence, MO. Service times and dates are pending.
He was born on May 31, 1921. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Donald graduated from NWMS with a B.S. in education and his Master’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska. He married Kathrine Jean Hansen on July 22, 1951. From this union they had two children, Rick (Jerri) Davis and Donna (Richard) Emslie; and 9 grandchildren: David Stephenson, Jason and Kelli Barrett, and Jeremy and Kristin Schlosser, Ryan Emslie, David Emslie, Melissa Emslie, and Amanda Emslie.
Donald served as a public school administrator for 36 years. Upon retiring, he volunteered teaching children in public school special education classes.
The family requests donations be made to Outreach International in Donald’s memory.
