Earl Woodrow “Bud” Davis, Jr, of Buckner, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was 73 years old. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 25, 2022, Buckner Community of Christ, 1001 S Sibley St, Buckner, MO 64016. Interment with military honors will follow at Buckner Hill Cemetery.
Bud was born on August 27, 1949, in Kansas City, MO to Earl Woodrow and Ethel Lenora (McCloud) Davis. He graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 1967 and went on to enlist in the United States Army serving from 1968-1971, with rank of Sergeant. He retired from Little Blue Valley Sewer District after 27 years as a Collection Supervisor.
Bud enjoyed time hunting and fishing, especially on his property in Buckland, MO. He was a lifelong member of the NRA, VFW and HOG as a motorcycle enthusiast. Bud was a skilled taxidermist, owning and operating Shiloh Taxidermy. He was also a family cook, famous for his biscuits and gravy. In 1983, he married the love of his life, Denise Brown and together they raised their family in Buckner.
Bud leaves behind his children, Kendra (Brad) Davis-Jackson, S. “Eric” (Anna Gardner-Davis), and Chris Page; grandchildren, Joy Woodham, Elizabeth Bouchard, Krystin Page, Cody Page, Niya Davis, Syvana Page, Makenzi Wilson, and Zaire Davis; great grandchildren, Emma White, Malaki Bouchard, Kaiden Bouchard, Kylie Woodham, Zander Page, Lucas Woodham, Charlie Page, and Daivie Page; sisters, Linda (Mike) Brown, Nancy (Jim) Stricker, and Deb (Nick) Nicholson; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Denise; and his ride or die companion, Pacer.
