Gladys I. Davis, 87 of Independence, MO passed away August 2, 2003 at her home in Independence, MO. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation from 7-8:30 pm Tuesday at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Contributions to North Kansas City Hospice, 2900 Clay Edwards Dr., Kansas City, MO 64116. Mrs. Davis was born February 26, 1916 the daughter of William T. and Emmaline Boydston Green. She was preceded in death by six sisters, four brothers, one granddaughter and one great-grandson. She is survived by one daughter Barbara Melchert McChan, Independence, MO and one son, Charles W. Melchert, Independence, MO, four grandsons, five granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren.
