Jean Hunt-Davis, 86, of Independence, MO passed away June 19, 2014. Cremation will take place with a memorial service to take place at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, at Oak Tree Church, 24400 NE Colbern Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64086. She was born March 31, 1928 in Harrisonville, MO to Thomas and Helen Kemper. In 1946, she graduated from Harrisonville High School and was the valedictorian of her graduating class. She then attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she majored in interior design, and then worked for Garbers Garmets, where she designed teenage girl’s clothing. She also enrolled in the 1950 Class of Stewardesses with Continental Airlines, and flew for 8 years. From 1960-1983, she was married to Cecil Hunt, until his death. She worked for General Motors in Fairfax for 30 years, and then went to work for Dillards Dept. Store for another 12 years. She is survived by her high school sweet heart and husband, Phil Davis; as well as sister-in-law, Peggy Taylor.
