William Robert “Bill” Davis, 56 of Lake Lotawana, MO passed away Saturday morning, October 3, 2020 at his residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering to be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Bill was an amazing chef and looked forward to any opportunity to show off his skills in the kitchen. Bill’s grit and determination helped him put himself thru school while raising his son Chase and he graduated from DeVry University in 1996. When he wasn’t working as a maintenance technician, Bill could be found living his best life at the lake. Fishing, camping, boating, listening to live music or playing cards with his friends and family would always put a smile on his face. Stupid movies were sure to make him laugh as well with Star Wars being at the top of that list. Bill loved his family fiercely and was so proud of both his boys. He was blessed to be able to coach them both thru football all throughout their childhood years and was a Cowboys fan himself. Bill is survived by his loving wife Lori Davis; sons Carl Chase Davis of Tempe, AZ and Peyson Davis of Lake Lotawana, MO; his beloved dogs Sugar and Loki; father Colonal Robert Davis of Lubbuck, TX; mother Martha Davis of Chandler, AZ; mother in law Marianne Cantrell of Lake Lotawana, MO; sisters Dione McCain-Stanton (Keith) and Faye Rehaume (Wayne) both of Lafayette, NY; brother in law Bill Henderson (Barbara) of Peachtree, GA; sister in law Valinda Cowing of Escondido, CA; several nieces, nephews and loving friends. Donations may be made in his name to Rescue One 1927-B E Bennett St. Springfield, MO 65804.
