William T. Davis, 91, of Kansas City, MO, died, Monday, October 25, 2004 at North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:30 until service time Friday at the funeral home. William was born August 31, 1913 in Blackwater, MO to Salem and Addie (Thorp) Davis. He was a veteran of WWII having served in WWII from 1943-46 where he earned the Purple Heart and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as an inspector for General Motors Fairfax Plant for 26 years until he retired in 1973. He was a member of the UAW Local #31. He was married to Mamie (Piehler) on June 6, 1947; she died on November 2, 1997. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Billie Jean Collins and her husband, Mark of Gravois Mills, MO, Sandra Stotts and her husband Giles L. of Kansas City, MO and Jacqualine Waring and her husband Bart of Des Moines, IA; a brother, Paul E. Davis of Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren, Sherrie Eshenroder, Derek Stotts, Julie Waring, Matthew Waring, Ben Fowler and Mark Collins, JR.; 13 great grandchildren, Avery Eshenroder, Brystal Eshenroder, Chandra Eshenroder, Dailee Eshenroder, Dylan Stotts, Ethan Stotts, Cade Stotts, Ty Stotts, Hayden Waring, Jackson Waring, Hadlee Waring, Olivia Fowler and Harrison Fowler. Donations may be made to the V.F.W. Lodge Post 1000 of Independence, MO.
