Lydia Ann Dayton, 55 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Truman Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the Arthritis Foundation. Lydia was born May 29, 1962 in Monett, MO to John and June (Carr) Fritz. She grew up and graduated from Monett High School in 1980 and later received a bachelor in science degree. She had worked for over 30 years at the Lake City Ammunition Plant until she retired in 2014. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, MO. Survivors include; her life companion, Ron Bailey of the home; a daughter, Heather Brush and husband Jon of Independence, MO; her parents, John and June Fritz of Monett, MO; a sister-in-law, Harmony Fritz of Monett, MO; Mother-in-law, Anna Lorene Bailey; a special niece Madilyn Fritz of Monett, MO; 3 grandchildren, Aidan, Isabelle and Colin Brush and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Fritz in 2016, father in law, Lane Bailey and her grandparents, Martin and Renata Fritz and Woodrow and Lula Carr.
