Leon Roy De Armond, 69 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Leon was born September 28, 1950 in Alhambra, CA to Earl and Marjorie (Stoltz) De Armond and spent his early life in California. He had worked most of his life in the pool and concrete construction business, most recently as owner/operator of LC Stonework and Design where he loved working with his sons. He enjoyed many activities; playing golf, fishing, bowling, going to the race track and was an animal lover and enjoyed taking his dog to the dog park but most of all spending time with his family Survivors include; his loving wife of 28 years, Darlene De Armond of the home; 4 daughters, Cindy De Armond and her husband Cary Riggles of Chicago, IL, April Rojas and husband Junior of Blue Springs, MO, Christine King and husband Anthony of Los Angeles, CA and Jami Carrera and husband Danny of Pasadena, CA; 2 sons, Kevin De Armond and Christopher De Armond both of Blue Springs, MO; 2 sisters, Patty Clemons and husband John of Ranch Cucamonga, CA and Lorraine Oliver of Bullhead City, AZ; a brother, Jim De Armond and wife Kim of Bullhead City, AZ and 9 grandchildren, Giovanni, Jacob, Sophia, Kyle, Matthew, Mckenna, Gabby, Timmy and Angelo. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jack and Richard De Armond and a sister, Earlene Meyers.
