Delores "Dee" Marie Bunge's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on July 2, 2024, in Blue Springs, Missouri. She was born on February14, 1934, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to her loving parents Floyd and Edna (Bloomer) Nichols.
After marrying her best friend, William "Bill" Bunge, on May 30, 1953, Dee took on the responsibilities of homemaker and Bill's right-hand man at church, being an indispensable partner both at home and in their faith life. Her fearless approach to challenges and her dedication to getting things done served as an inspiration to all who knew her. She remained Bill's most dedicated friend until his passing on April 11, 2022.
Dee will always be remembered for her unwavering warmth and hospitality towards everyone she met; a true embodiment of kindness who never knew a stranger. Her love for flowers was evident in her beautiful garden, tended to by her cherished husband. Dee also found great joy in the company of her cats over the years and took delight in experimenting with new recipes discovered in the magazines she adored reading.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Melanie Courtney (John), and son, William "Bill" Bunge, Jr.; grandchildren, Erin Bunge, Meagan Bunge, William Bunge III (Jacey), Thomas "TJ" Bunge, Jr., and Zachary Bunge; and great-grandson, William "Liam" Bunge IV. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry "Bill" Bunge, Sr.; father, Floyd Nichols; mother, Edna Harrison; and son, Thomas "Thom" Bunge. Although she has left this world behind, Dee's spirit will continue to live on through the memories shared with her family and friends.

A viewing will take place on July 11th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on July 12th at 10:00 AM. The interment will follow at Lobb Cemetery in Blue Springs at 11:30 AM.
In our hearts forever, Dee's legacy of love and compassion will remain a guiding light for us all. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was deeply cherished and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
