Betty Louise Denham, 94, of Independence, passed away on September 15th, 2019 in Independence. Visitation will be at 9:00 am Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at Church of Christ Temple Lot, 200 S River Blvd. Independence, MO 64050. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at Church of Christ Temple Lot, 200 S River Blvd. Independence, MO 64050, with Alvin Harris and Jim Case of Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Carson-Speaks Chapel.
Betty Louise Denham was born in Lucas County, Iowa to Russell Erving Patterson and Russa Mae Patterson on July 5th, 1925. She went to school at William Chrisman High School. She married Floyd Edward Denham Jr. on October 18th, 1942 in Independence. She was a faithful follower of Christ doing missionary work with her husband and family in Mexico for fifty years.
Betty is preceded in death by parents Russell and Russa Patterson, her husband Floyd, her siblings Wilma Klubec, Edna Jane Smith, Vernon Patterson and Russell Patterson.
Betty is survived by her children: Barbara Denham of Independence, Carolene Guzman and husband Andres of Independence, Sharon Davidson and husband Mark of Independence, Floyd Edward Denham III of Independence, Nathan Denham and wife Ana Gloria of Grain Valley, Nancy Denham of Independence, Joseph Denham and wife Evelia of Independence, Jacob Denham and wife Josefina of Independence, Angelita Sprague and husband Shaughn of Independence, John Denham and wife Denise of Independence. Siblings, Vern Patterson and wife Margaret of Lee’s Summit, Leroy Patterson of Oklahoma, Sister-In-Laws, Marjorie Katamura and husband Guillermo of Independence, Nancy Patterson of Raytown, Martha Denham of Independence and Maria Denham of Plesant Hill. Twenty-six grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Lopez, Andy Guzman, Keith Denham, Nathan Denham Jr., Damian Denham, Jacob Denham.
