Carol Denney

Carol J. (Singleton) Denney, 71 of Blue Springs, MO passed away December 5, 2017. Visitation will be from 1-3pm Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Speaks Buckner Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3pm at the chapel. Carol was born on June 22, 1946 to William and Mildred (Harrah) Stapleton. She was a life long resident of Buckner, Mo and graduated from Fort Osage High School. For over 30 years Carol worked at the Sibley Power Plant in many capacities including welding. At the time of her retirement she was in the supply department. Carol was a gifted scrap booker, and loved to play Bingo whenever possible. The week before she passed away she had won a $500.00 jack pot! Carol was a loving, giving, and very strong woman. She always put others before herself, especially her children and grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include; her partner of over 20 years Bobby Suhr; son Benjiumen “Bill” Denney and his wife Patty, son Christopher “Chris” Denney and his wife Robin; brother John Stapleton and his wife Debbie; sister Barbara Nelson-Gorsage and her husband Don; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Stapleton.
