Robert (Bob) Dennis was born 10-6-1946 and passed away May 16, 2021. Bob lived the majority of his life in the greater Kansas City area but home to him was always Independence, which was his most recent place of residence. Bob was loving, giving, intelligent and was a true artistic talent, both musically and with art. His career included a four-year stint in the US Air Force (1964-1968) having served in South Korea and Whiteman Air Force Base. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.
He played country music throughout the Kansas City area and served as the Emcee and lead vocalist for the Country Hayride in Excelsior Springs. He had a beautiful voice and played rhythm guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. and Lucy C. Dennis and a daughter, Tammy Andrade Crumley. He is survived by his love of the past five years, Anna Wooten of the home, three sons, Gary J. Dennis of Gardner, KS, Tommy Andrade of Overland Park, KS, Joey Dennis of Independence, MO, one brother Michael (Nancy) Dennis of Gladstone, MO, two sisters, Linda and Candy Dennis of Overland Park, KS, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one nephew, three nieces, one great niece and numerous cousins.
He loved unconditionally his family, extended family, science, music and sports. Especially cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. Rest in peace! You will be missed by many.
