Josephine Marie Detwiler, 79, passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 17, 2022, at Maywood Terrace Living Center. Josephine was born February 26, 1943, to Phillip and Congetta Parrino.
She was a dedicated wife, mom, “mommer,” sister and a friend to all. She was proceeded in death by her husband, mother, father, father-in-law and mother-in-law. She leaves behind her daughters and sons-in-law Christina and Bill Goebel and Terri Jo and Michael Cary; grandchildren Joshua Detwiler, Deondra Wiler and Michael Cary, Jr.; great grandchildren Madison, Jacob and Zoey; brother and sister-in-law Phillip and Barbara Parrino; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds with her Honey, crocheting, crafting, bowling and swimming. She loved decorating and cooking with her family every holiday, especially Christmas. More than anything, Josephine loved to spend time with her family and friends. She taught all she knew the true meaning of unconditional love.
The family would like to thank the staff and her friends at Maywood Terrace for loving her like she was their own and making her feel at home. We also would like to extend our gratitude to everyone at Eastland Davita Dialysis Center who became like family to her over these last five years, and to the staff at VNA Hospice.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Kidney Fund at https://www.kidneyfund.org/.
