Ronald Dean Detwiler, 84, died August 19, 2020 at St Mary's Village with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Ronald was born July 25, 1936 to Victor and Mable Detwiler. He was a dedicated Husband, Dad, Granddad, Honey and Great Grandad. He was preceded in Death by his Mother, Step Mother, Father, Sisters, Brother, Mother in law and Father in law. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Josephine Detwiler, Daughters and Son-in-Laws Christina and Bill Goebel, Terri Jo and Michael Cary, Grandchildren Joshua Detwiler, Michael Cary Jr, Great Granddaughter Madison Detwiler, Brother in law and Sister in law Phillip and Barbara Parrino, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ronald was a kind gentle man who never knew a stranger, everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him loved him, as he loved them as well. He was a loving Husband that took special care of his wife and family, he truly taught us the meaning of unconditional love. Ron enjoyed sitting outside, drinking coffee while reading the paper and watching the many birds that would come to his feeders, he enjoyed gardening, playing cards, swimming, bowling, Chiefs Football, Royals Baseball but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The family would like to especially thank the many Angels at St Mary's Village that took special care of him and treated him like their own, we would also like to extend our gratitude to the Nurses of Kindred Hospice who walked this journey with us in his final days. Private services will be held on Monday August 24th at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church.
