Paul E. Dexter II, 74, of Independence, MO passed away February 20, 2006 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Blue Springs. Funeral services 10:00 am Friday, February 24, 2006, at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 5609 Norfleet Road, Independence. Interment will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 7-8:30 pm at the church. The family suggests contributions to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund or flowers. Paul was born September 15, 1931 to Paul E. Sr. and Eliza (Hedrick) Dexter in Independence, MO. After graduating from William Chrisman High School he attended William Jewell College. Paul enjoyed a 45 year career as a Bond Underwriter for the Crum & Forster Insurance Company. He was a very active member of his church and served the church in many capacities, including 2 missions. Paul enjoyed working with youth, and was involved in scouting. In his spare time Paul also liked to travel, listen to opera, and watch football and golf. Left to mourn his passing; wife Peggy of the home, son Kerry Dexter of Wichita, son Kirk Dexter of VA, daughter Kay Tuggle of IL, daughter Keena Evans of UT, daughter Krystal Dexter of VA, son Steve Amen of Indep, and daughter Lorleen LaGalle of Raytown. Other survivors include brothers Bill Dexter of TX, Jim Dexter of Osage Beach, sister Dorothy Allen of Liberty, 22 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
