Ralph Charles Dickinson Jr.

Ralph C. Dickinson, Jr., age, 88, of Blue Springs, MO, died Saturday, July 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph Charles Dickinson, Jr. was born on August 11, 1933, to Ralph and Vera (Schlack) Dickinson, Sr. in Rich Hill, MO. Ralph proudly served his country in the US Army before medically being discharged in 1953. Ralph married the love of his life, Lorene Kelley on December 20, 1953, at First Presbyterian Church in Independence, MO.
Ralph began his career in 1960 as part owner of North Park Electric until 1981 where he began as a foreman for Kansas City Power and Light until his retirement in 1994.
Ralph was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Independence, Ararat Shriners Club, Amateur Radio Club and American Legion Post #21 of Independence.
Ralph always treasured his family vacations, particularly going to Florida, upgrading and repairing computers for kids so they would have their own computers and making people laugh with his great sense of humor. Ralph also loved being a beekeeper where he helped with the display of honeybees at the Missouri State Fair for many years.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 68 years, Lorene; two daughters, Debbie (Robert) Ginavan, Connie Dickinson; two grandchildren, Courtney (Kenny) Ginavan-Dahl, Christy (Mike) Tapko and five great-grandchildren, Keegan, Aurora, Leia, Lazio and Dylan.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Edward and Ethel Kelley; grandson, Michael Andrew; one brother and eight sisters.
A visitation will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street S, Independence, MO at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29th, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made in Ralph’s honor to the Shriner’s Children Hospital.
