James H. Dickson

James H. Dickson, 95 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Renaissance Terrace Care Center in Harriman, TN. Cremation is planned with a graveside inurnment service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at the Woodlawn Cemetery. James was born April 3, 1923 in Kansas City, MO to Harley H. and Stella A. (Matt) Dickson and was a longtime area resident. He had worked as a mechanic at Yellow Cab Company for 30 years before he retired. Survivors include: his wife Mary F. Dickson of the home; 2 children, Gary DePoortere and wife Brenda of Crossville, TN and Janette Huffman of Independence, MO; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
