Ione Didde, 86, of Kansas City, Missouri, departed from this life in her home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2006. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark�s Catholic Church, 3736 Lee�s Summit Road, Independence, Mo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark�s Catholic Church. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Nortonville, Kansas.
Ione was born March 29, 1920 in Nortonville, Kansas one of seven children to George and Mary (Weishaar) Schuler. Ione was devout in her religion and very involved in her parish altar society. She had a very generous nature and went above and beyond for others, whether it was a kind word, or a homemade pie.
Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother will be remembered for her strength of character, devotion and commitment to her family. She has joined her two sons, Thomas E. and Larry J. Didde in heaven. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Ed Didde, her daughter Jane Baar and son-in-law Dan of Kansas City, Mo., daughter Suzanne Herzig and son-in-law Richard of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, daughter Annette Kirby and son-in-law John of Parkville, Mo., nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way; brother Fred Schuler and wife Marzella of Nortonville, Ks., brother Homer C. Schuler and wife Martha of Atchison, Ks., and sister Mildred L "Babe�. Gottesburen of Kansas City, Ks.
