Carolyn Dieckman, 75, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. A service will follow at 2pm at the chapel. She will be laid to rest at Buckner Hill Cemetery.
Carolyn was born on June 18, 1942 in Independence, MO to Herman and Alberta (Ahring) Dieckman. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1960. She liked to sew, read, cook, and work puzzle books. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Carolyn spent her working life as a home health companion. People sought her out to care for their loved ones. She was truly a remarkable caregiver.
She will be remembered by her daughter Kimberly Bradley and Richard Maynard of Jerico Springs, MO; sisters Barbara Sloop and husband Nick of Lawson, MO, Donna Rains and husband Ron of Stilwell, KS, Katherine Bloom of Kansas City, MO; grandkids Valerie Bradley, Brandon Bradley, Michele Bradley, Christopher Mark Pickering, and Mackenzee Pickering; great-grandkids Braiden Bradley, Kenton Cantrell, Leland Cantrell, and Jackson Pickering. And son Mark Pickering; plus many other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Buckner Hill Cemetery Association.
