Lee Dildine, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Independence, Mo. He was born June 14, 1929, in Micola, Mo. He served in the Navy from 1946-1948 and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. After his military service he became a successful business owner and entrepreneur. He is survived by his wife Wanda Dildine, son David (Linda) Dildine, step-daughters, Terri (Tim) Jacobs, Jodi (Rick) Nunnelley, and step-son Mark Courtney. He had eleven grandchildren, Dalton and Skyler Dildine, Michael (Michelle) Jacobs, Jason (Anna) Jacobs, Jana (James) Scott, Ashley (Nathan) Riley, Zachary (Becca) Cooper, Heather Patrick, Brad Courtney, Jessica Philpot and twenty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Francis Gary, his first wife Shirley Dildine, his brothers Doyle and Bill Ledbetter, and granddaughter Kellie Nunnelley. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel located at 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052.
