Doris Pauline Dilks

Doris Pauline Courtney Dilks, 77, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Lee�s Summit Hospital. Services will be 2 pm Tuesday, April 20th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Doris was born April 19, 1926 in Buckner, MO to Carl and Rosa Courtney. She married Donald N. Dilks on February 2, 1947. Doris loved all her family and enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby brother, her husband, a son, Donald C. Dilks, and brothers and sisters, Walter, Ross, Harold, Dorothy, and Lorene. Doris is survived by her sons, Elden Dilks of Sibley, MO, Robert Dilks of Independence, MO, and David Dilks of Grain Valley, MO; daughter, Doris Gemes of Edwards, MO; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
