James Dillard

James Ernest Dillard, 60 of Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at his residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel. James was born March 2, 1952 in Zams, Austria the son of James Harold and Waltraud Olga (Lenauer) Dillard. He had worked for over 39 years as a pressman for the Kansas City Star. He enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family. He is survived by; a son, Brian Dillard and his wife Sarah of Independence, MO; a daughter, Heidi Vandawalker of Kansas City, MO; his mother, Waltraud “Connie” Dillard of Lebanon, MO; a companion Patty Bachar of Sumner, MO; a brother, Helmuth Dillard of Kansas City, MO and 6 grandchildren, Tommy, Siayrah, Brianna, Brooke, Jackson and Ashlyn.
