Helen Nadine Dison

Helen Nadine Dison, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at her home. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, October 4th at George C. Carson and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-5:00 pm Sunday October 3rd at the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Nadine was born April 12, 1924 in Hallsville, MO to John N. and Nettie M. Davis. Her family later moved to the Independence area. She married Thomas Alvin Dison in August of 1940. Mrs. Dison was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved country music, caring for her family and was a devoted Royals baseball fan. Nadine is survived by her daughters Patricia Sue Cooper of Blue Springs, MO, Debra Lynn Curtner of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Stanley Davis; sisters Kathryn Yates and Gladys Jones; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dison was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Dison; son Tommy Dean Dison; granddaughter Cynthia Parr.
