Frank “Sonny” Joseph Dogle, 79, passed December 28, 2018 at his home in Independence MO. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, Jan. 4 at Sheffield Family Life Center, 5700 Winner Rd, Kansas City, MO 64127; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am before the service at church.
Frank was born November 10, 1939 in Kansas City, MO. He spent most of childhood and youth in the Waldo area of Kansas City and graduated from Southwest High School in 1959.
He worked at St. Elizabeth’s as a Pin Boy after school, then went to work for Remington Arms. In July of 1960 he enlisted in the Air Force, spent four years serving his country and was honorably discharged in April of 1964. He worked for General Mills for twenty-five years until his retirement on Nov. 27, 2002.
After retirement he worked part time as a Walmart greeter and was a favorite at the Walmart Store in Independence. He worked at Walmart until he passed away.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother Alice Dogle and father Frank Dogle Sr. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years Jewell Marie Dogle, of the home; daughter Rachelle Marie (Dogle) Eames and husband Robert, Independence, MO and sister Pearl Elaine (Dogle) Barnes, Adrian, MO and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a loving, quiet, humble, hardworking man who loved the Lord and his Family above all else.
