Daniel Taylor "Dan" Dominick

Dan Dominick, 76, of Independence, MO passed away July 3, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Memorial visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Dan was born on May 21, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to D.T. and Eleanor (Price) Dominick. Dan was a graduate of Northeast High School. He proudly served in the Air Force for 4 years and was stationed in Okinawa. He enjoyed bowling in his spare time and earned a trophy while in Japan. It was when he was working part time at Sears that he met his future bride, Jane Martin. In 2002 he retired with over 20 years of service from Quality Delivery. Dan enjoyed golf, reading, metal detecting, and playing cards. For several years he was a season ticket holder, and attended all of the home games of the KC Chiefs. Dan was truly loved and will be greatly missed! Survivors include; wife of 52 years Jane Dominick; daughters Cathleen Cummings (Jeff), and Heather Peters; grandchildren Caitlin Jae Cummings, Collin Taylor Cummings, and Ryan Nicole Peters; sisters Virginia Kaye Jackson, and Nancy Ann Powell; several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Dan is preceded in death by his parents.
