Donald H. Humbird, 81, Buckner, MO passed away June 26, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Sat., June 30, 2007 at Speaks Buckner Chapel; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
Don was born Sept. 9, 1925 in Richmond, MO. He was a decorated U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He retired in 1982 as an Area Supervisor after 31 years at the Lake City Ammunition Plant. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW, and American Legion. Don enjoyed fishing and coon hunting with his buddies.
Don was preceded in death by sisters Marjorie McGlothlin and Juanita Smith; and brother William Humbird, Jr. He is survived by sons Terry L. Humbird and wife Sharon; Patrick H. Humbird and wife Pam, all of Sibley, MO; daughter Rhonda G. Vaoifi and husband Oli, Buckner, MO; wife and mother of his children, Betty (Meyer) Humbird, Odessa, MO; sister Pauline Sayers, Groves TX; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
