It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donato Kimmons, a sweet and loving soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. Donato was a big-hearted, sensitive, and deep-thinking young man whose compassion for others was evident in everything he did. His presence lit up a room, and his unforgettable smile brought joy to those fortunate enough to know him. He was always quick to offer a hug and express his love, leaving a lasting impact on everyone around him.
Donato had a passion for music, video games, and the simple joy of sharing dinners with his family. He loved to get lost in movies, immersing himself in the stories and adventures they offered. He was proud to earn his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and was working diligently towards his dream of becoming a climber. His dedication was inspiring; he trained hard at the gym with a friend from work, earning admiration for his commitment and the results he achieved as he focused on getting in better shape.
Donato also had a mischievous side that brought laughter to those around him. At just nine years old, he pulled off an elaborate prank, tricking his mom, dad, and brothers into believing he had knocked himself out after running into the staircase. His performance was so convincing that he was rushed to the hospital, and just as he was about to get an MRI, he revealed that it was all just a joke—a hilarious stunt that ended up costing a couple of thousand dollars!
As he grew older, Donato's playful spirit remained. He loved sneaking into apartment complexes with his friends to enjoy the pool area, where they would swim and freestyle, pretending it was their own private oasis.
A true lover of life, Donato cherished many things, from the comfort of hot showers to the relaxation that followed a long day’s work. One of the last things he wrote was a heartfelt list of gratitude, filled with appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, particularly the unconditional love he felt while living with his brothers, Christian and Anthony, over the last several years. The bond they shared was a testament to the love that defined Donato's relationships.
Donato is survived by his brothers, Christian and Anthony, his mother, Tiffany, and his fathers, Rob and Tom, who will miss him dearly. The ache of his absence will be felt forever by all who loved him.
In his brief time with us, Donato left a legacy of love, kindness, and gratitude that will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. Until we meet again, we will carry his spirit with us, always cherishing the memories of a truly remarkable young man.
