Myrtle Pauline Donovan, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, July 25, 2004 at her home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday at the chapel. Myrtle was born January 13, 1928 in Dewitt, MO to Clemie Logan and Ruby May (Winfree) Jenkins. She had worked in housekeeping at the Independence Sanitarium and, more recently, worked in the dietary department at Medical Center of Independence until she retired in 1998. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Independence. She was married to William E. Donovan who preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include; a son, Eddie Donovan and his wife Joyce of Independence; 3 daughters, Judy K. Hollaman and her husband Jim, Emma Ruth McGinnis and Becky Ann Wallander and her husband Ron all of Independence; 3 sisters, Marcella Martin of Theodosia, MO, Betty Graeff of Independence, MO and Ivy Mantle of Spartenburg, SC; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lee Donovan in 1999; 2 brothers, Clemie L. Jenkins, Jr and Carl Albert Jenkins and a sister, Connie Hinkle in 2003.
