Dorothy J. Rudy, lovingly known as Jody, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was born in Higginsville, Missouri on May 4, 1944, to the late Orlando C. and Alta E. Fairchild.
After graduating from Fort Osage High School, Dorothy dedicated herself to her family. She found great joy in being a homemaker, nurturing her daughters and creating a warm and loving environment for them to thrive. As her daughters grew older, she began a new chapter in her life, joining Walmart where she worked diligently for over 25 years.
Dorothy's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her marriage to Donald Rudy. They stood side by side for 47 remarkable years until his passing in 2010.

She enjoyed playing dominos and cards with friends and family, tending to her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens with great care, and listening to the soulful tunes of Conway Twitty. Above all else, spending time with her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
Dorothy's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her: her daughters, Donna (Marvin) Herman, Kim (Vince Haley) Wilson, Pam (Bill) Wade; nine adoring grandchildren, and ten precious great-grandchildren.
