Carl Albert Dotson Jr., 70, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 8th after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Carl was born to Carl and Ida Dotson on March 19, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri.
After graduating from Van Horn high school Carl met his future wife while working at a local grocery store. They were married a year later and spent the next 52 years creating memories together. Carl was a hard worker. He began working for Armco Steel before landing his permanent career with Livers Bronze. He retired with them after 40yrs. When Carl wasn’t working, he was one with nature. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and hunting for both animals and mushrooms. One of his favorite spots to fish was on the Buffalo River in Arkansas. Carl was an easy going, kind hearted man and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sons, Joshua Dotson (Samantha), Jason Dotson (Lynlee), John Dotson (Brenda) and Jimmy “Jim” Dotson; and three grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
