Sharon Faye King-Dotson, 66, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
Sharon was born September 22, 1947 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Lewis Franklin and Dora Faye (Coslett) King. She had worked for the Blue Springs School District as a bus driver and at the Avon Assembly Plant in Kansas City until its closing. Sharon retired after 19 years with Truman Lakewood Hospital in environmental services. She enjoyed traveling with her family around the country and especially going to Branson.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bob Dotson; daughters, Sherri Guerra, Dot Sharp, Pamela Horner, Donna Jean Koechner and Annette Macobrie; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother, Dora King; sisters, Lana (Bill) Kraxner, Linda (Alan) Young and Dolores (Lennie) Lewis; brothers, Garry King and Rick King; and additional nieces, nephews and family. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Lewis King; brother, Larry F. King; step-son Bobby Dotson.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington St., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
