Patricia Ruth "Pat" Doutt (Smith)

Patricia “Pat” Doutt, 80, of Independence, MO passed away October 6, 2016. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 West Lexington Avenue, Independence, Missouri 64052. Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Burial will take place in Swan Lake, Grain Valley, Missouri. Pat was born on October 6, 1937 in Tucson, AZ to Adam and
Ruth (Vermillion) Smith. She along with her husband owned several companies in the area including Doutt’s Lake, Doutts Town & Country Golf and Ballbearing Amusement Center. Survivors include; sons Kevin Doutt and wife Laurie, Greg Doutt and wife Jackie, James Doutt and wife Susan Mathany, and David Doutt; grandchildren Krystal Wright, Sara Doutt, Greg Doutt, Tanner Doutt, Christopher Doutt, Dakota Doutt, J.C. Doutt, and Cole Doutt; great grandchildren Ace Doutt, Easton Doutt, Oliver Wright, Kolten Doutt, Victor Doutt, Oxley Wright, and Lily Wright; a large extended family and many friends. Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James Doutt and her parents.
