Otillie Lavina Dopp Driskell, 79, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, December 18th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with interment in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer�s Association. Otillie was born June 19, 1924 in Sturgis, SD to Frank and Lefa Tripp Dopp. In 1925 her family moved to Sarcoxie, MO, then to Kansas City in 1928. She married Abner Lee Driskell, Jr. April 17, 1943. Except for being stationed in Georgia and Kentucky during her husband�s military service, she lived in Kansas City. She attended McCoy Elementary, East High School, and the College of Commerce. She worked at Montgomery Ward and Emery Byrd and Thayer prior to having a family, and then Sears, Roebuck & Co. from 1964 until she retired in 1986. Otillie was a faithful lifelong member of the Community of Christ. She served in the Women�s Department, Youth Programs, as a Herald House Book Steward, and various other positions. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Abner of 50 years, sister Eleanor, and brother Merl. Otillie is survived by her sons, Ron Driskell and wife Dana of Seattle, WA, Larry Driskell and wife Connie of Independence, MO; daughter, Cheryl Drown and husband Charles of Independence, MO; grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Jennifer Driskell, Melissa and Jason White, Jessica and Mark Lutman, Amanda and Bret Schneider, Timothy Drown, Stephen Drown, Adrian McDole, Nicolas McDole; and great grandson, Dylan White. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cy and Betty Dopp of Newcastle, WY, Everett and Joan Dopp of Mesa, AZ, Vernon and JoAnn Dopp of Phelan, CA, and Mary Dopp of Olathe, KS. She also leaves her in-laws, John Galland, Hayward and Marie Purvis, Virgil and Shirley Driskell, Joe and Barbara Driskell, Pat Driskell, Joyce Driskell, David and Cathryn Driskell, and many nieces and nephews.
