Arlene Virginia Duensing (Pribbernow)

July 12, 1926 — June 29, 2022

Arlene Virginia Duensing passed away peacefully June 29, 2022, she was born July 12, 1926, in humbolt, Kansas to William Frederick and Blanche Amelia Pribbernow. After high school she graduated from business school and worked as an executive secretary at Bendix for two years before her marriage.

Arlene was an active member of the Junior Service League of Independence and Saint Mark Catholic Church in Lee Summit. She was a devoted stay at home mom; a day did not go by without after school snacks, homework checks, and attendance of many school events for her three daughters. She also played a huge role in her grandchildren’s lives. She loved flowers and achieved Master Gardener status working tirelessly in her large yard. Arlene was also an excellent cook and loved entertaining for her family, friends, and bridge club.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J Donald Duensing and daughter, Denise Marie Duensing. She is survived by her sister, Wilma Ednie of Coeur d’Alene, ID; daughters, Beth and her husband Dr. Robert N. Hanson of Lee Summit and Debbie Duensing of Kansas City; grandchildren, Christopher Hanson, Jonathan Hanson and wife Carolyn of Kansas City and Emily Polsky and husband Harrison of Dallas Texas; great grandchild, Mila Polsky.
