Denise Marie Duensing passed away June 2nd at John Knox Village. Denise was born September 19, 1950 in Independence, MO. She was the daughter of Dr. J. Donald and Arlene Duensing.
She graduated 2nd in her class from Notre Dame de Sion. She then received her Bachelor’s degree from Brown University followed by a Master’s degree in art history from Case Western University.
During her lifelong career for AT&T, Denise had the opportunity to explore many regions of the country as she progressed up the corporate ladder, making many close friends. She loved animals and volunteered t many animal shelters throughout her career. She was also an avid runner and participated in many races to fundraise for her furry friends.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Dr. J. Donald Duensing. She is survived by her mother, Arlene Duensing; her sister Beth and her husband Dr. Robert N. Hanson of Lee’s Summit; her sister Debbie Duensing of Kansas City; nephews Christopher Hanson, Johnathan Hanson and wife Carolyn of Kansas City; niece Emily Polsky and husband Harrison and great niece Mila.
